Connecticut follows Massachusetts and California in permitting same-sex marriage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/10\/11\/nyregion\/11marriage.html?partner=permalink&amp;exprod=permalink\">Read the New York Times report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is a <strong>victory for progress<\/strong>. \u201cCivil unions\u201d mean little when you\u2019re face to face with bureaucracy or even just trying to answer a survey. Are you married, or not really?<\/p>\n<p>We agree with Justice Richard N.
