“Blue” Through Lesbian Eyes

Blue Is the Warmest Color

Adèle Exarchopoulos, left, and Léa Seydoux in the film “Blue Is the Warmest Color.”

The New York Times Style section has a great piece out today by Tim Teeman. “Blue, Through Lesbian Eyes” explores the notion of lesbian sex in the movie Blue Is the Warmest Color. What do lesbian filmmakers and lesbian pornographers think about how lesbian sex is portrayed on the screen?

Besides the filmmakers, Nan Kinney is quoted, along with Annie Sprinkle, AVN‘s Mark Kernes, Madison Young, Shine Louise Houston and Jiz Lee.

Kudos to writer Tim Teeman for his interesting, multifaceted article in which he’s unafraid to talk to lesbians about real lesbian sex!

Tim is the author of a brand-new exploration of Gore Vidal’s sex life called In Bed with Gore Vidal. We’re going to check it out!

Lots of great comments at the @NYTimes site about this article. Nobody seems sure what real lesbian porn is! We know 🙂
