Lingerie * Being in Control

Friday, February 1st, 2008

You can comment on any story in the newsletter. You should still feel free to e-mail us, but we encourage you to share your stories and experiences with others at the blog.

In last month’s poll, we asked: When do you wear sexy lingerie?

If you’re one of those who “never” wear it, try it sometime! It also makes a good soft “teddy bear” to snuggle at night.

See all the results here.

This month we ask: Do you like to be in control during sex?

Vote now! The poll is on Fatale’s home page.

And we’ll give you the results next month.

Until then, we wish you dazzling hot sex.

Focus on the G-Spot

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

You know Deborah Sundahl from her monthly Q&A column, “Ask Fanny,” in these newsletters and blog postings at Fatale. She’s as committed as anyone we know to helping women (and their partners) understand female ejaculation, what it is and how every woman can ejaculate.

Deborah travels the world giving workshops with real-life women and couples. She works one-on-one in private workshops. She’s written a book, Female Ejaculation and the G-Spot and three very successful DVDs, including her bestselling How to Female Ejaculate, still one of the most important educational titles on the subject.

Now she’s got a new one out that’ll knock your socks off. Filmed in France with utterly gorgeous women—the women in Paris are just gorgeous, let’s face it—Deborah directed this new DVD and also ran the workshop.

Don’t worry. It’s in English. No subtitles.

Check it out: Female Ejaculation: The Workshop.

We’ve been very lucky to have known Deborah since her days at On Our Backs and to have had her as a friend and confidante ever since. She’s educated us and cheered us on with everything female ejaculation and the G-spot. We hope you take the time to get to know her better too.

Q&A: Ask Fanny - Man’s Terms

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

G-spot expert Deborah Sundahl, a.k.a. Fanny Fatale, answers your questions about female ejaculation and the g-spot.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dear Fanny,

Got the dvd on the gspot, but I’m confused…You say many women can’t ejaculate with something inside them… How do you play with it for them to ejaculate if that is the case? Please explain in simple man’s terms.

JB, via e-mail

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dear JB,

Most women, but not all, find it difficult or impossible to ejaculate with something inside their vagina - at the moment of ejaculation. Some women ejaculate with a gush, but it is of course impossible to arc the ejaculate out of the body when close contact such as intercourse is occurring.

Therefore, you play with it - that is, stimulate the G-spot - before she ejaculates. Using toys, fingers, penis, you have ample time to play with the G-spot before the moment of ejaculation.

When you feel her G-spot engorge and swell, then withdraw your penis (or toy or fingers) and allow the ejaculate to flow.

Hope that was simple enough. Good luck.

Fanny

New Year’s Resolutions

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

We hope you had a good holiday season and are ready for 2008. We sure are. Not everybody likes making resolutions, but we do. They’re like a rough map for the future and a way to measure progress. We keep a book with our goals, and it’s satisfying to look back and see how far we’ve come. This year, we thought we’d share ours with you.

Here’s our list of top 5 New Year’s resolutions for the coming year:

1. Have more sex

2. Continue to be kind to each other

3. Make and produce more sexy movies

4. Carry and distribute more good movies starring real dykes

5. Keep the love in all interactions with friends, customers and family

We’ve already started on one of these resolutions…number 4, to carry and distribute more good movies starring real dykes. The red-hot gals at The Crash Pad have continued to shoot scenes in the crash pad, the secret room where only some are given the keys.

Now they’ve put the first five episodes together in a new DVD called The Crash Pad Series, Volume 1, directed by the inimitable Shine Louise Houston. There’s a little something for everyone here—butches and femmes, bois and transfolk.

You can read more about it here.

See all Fatale’s sexy DVDs here.

And next time we write we’ll have a new DVD out from G-spot expert Deborah Sundahl, so stay tuned.

Happy New Year!

Yours in good love and sex,

Sex Tips & Tricks: Lingerie, Part 1

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

Buying lingerie, not unlike buying lube or condoms, doesn’t have to be embarrassing. You can stride right over to the sexy underclothes area of the department store and ooh and ahh at the silky offerings. Or you can duck your head, pretending you were looking for flannel PJs, and blush.

Buying lingerie online isn’t tactile—what online buying is?—but you can find a wider variety of fabrics, sizes and styles than in most lingerie or department stores. Hard-to-find sizes are a real bonus with online shopping.

We don’t like the models’ styling in here, but if you dig deep you can find some unusual pickings with lace and silk and satin, and a good selection of plus sizes, at Lingerie Diva. The blog’s not bad either. Like Mistress Cobra’s corset in Full Load, similar designs abound here.

If your idea of fun includes leather and latex, don’t miss JT’s Stockroom for a wide selection of panties, corsets, stockings and more. It’s one of our favorite shops.

Want to know the best uses for lingerie? Next time, in Lingerie: Part 2, we’ll talk about how and when to wear lingerie and what else it’s good for.

We want your opinion on how you wear and use lingerie. You can comment here.

The Art of Giving

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

Sex is about giving. Whether it’s a one-night stand you just met at the bar or coffeehouse or your lover of dozens of years, if you don’t give, and learn to give, there’s no spice. Gratification comes in many forms.

Nan and Deborah founded On Our Backs in 1984 with the idea that the lesbian community had no porn for itself. In 1985 they spun off Fatale, then called Fatale Videos, now morphed into Fatale Media. You know this. But the original impulse was to give images of ourselves to the lesbian community.

(To read Cory Silverberg’s recent interview with Nan about Fatale, check out About.com.)

When the inimitable Shar Rednour came to Nan and said, “We’ve got to make this video…I want to call it Bend Over Boyfriend,” Nan said, “Absolutely!” Why shouldn’t the straight community have alternative images of themselves and what they really do in bed?

Each year at this time, we decide where to make a donation to organizations that make a difference in the world. This year, we’ll give donations to three, but one in particular we wanted to tell you about.

The Free Speech Coalition was founded in 1991 as the U.S. government tried harder and harder to shut down the adult industry. The Free Speech Coalition has been an industry godsend for Fatale, watching and monitoring the U.S. government regarding any attempts to close down purveyors of adult material; lobbying the U.S. government; fostering public communication and education; and when the need arises, going to court.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that without the Free Speech Coalition, we wouldn’t be able to keep making porn and giving real images to the community—images of who we are and what we really do in bed. So for that, we are grateful.

Oh, and not to get too heavy here, we’ve also got a long list of goodies just for friends and family. Top of the list? Christi’s sister and her girlfriend are getting Shine Louise Houston’s The Crash Pad.

Tell us what you’re giving this year. You can comment here.

Happy Holidays!

Nan & Christi

Q&A: Ask Fanny - FE and Cycles

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

G-spot expert Deborah Sundahl, a.k.a. Fanny Fatale, answers your questions about female ejaculation and the g-spot.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dear Fanny,

Since I turned 30 I’ve ejaculated a lot–maybe my previous girlfriends didn’t quite know how to reach my G-Spot–but sometimes it just doesn’t happen even when I masturbate. Is it possible female ejaculation is related to my cycle? When I can’t ejaculate it’s usually around my period.

Thank you for your good work!

A fan

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dear Fan,

Female ejaculation doesn’t always happen for various reasons. A menstrual cycle could be one reason, but usually female ejaculation is mostly plentiful around the time of a woman’s period. It could be you unconsciously hold back during your period due to too much fluid being released from your body.

Another is the physical position women are lying in. Notice what position you are in when you do and don’t ejaculate. Another reason could be the sex toy or fingers… notice if you ejaculate when they are out of your vagina and if you don’t ejaculate when they are in your vagina.

Female ejaculate flows most easily when there is no expectation.

Rarely does any woman ejaculate all the time. I suggest letting go of having to ejaculate. We don’t want to put any kind of performance pressure on something that is inherently—at its source—an expression of love and joy. Better to spend the time self-pleasuring as a chance to love yourself, and let nature take its course.

Fanny
